2021-srw Advancement & Executive Assistant

The Advancement & Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Institutional Advancement and the Executive Director. This position manages the museum’s donor and membership records/database, gift acknowledgements, and generates reports/queries from the Raiser’s Edge/Altru database as required. S/he provides support to the Director of IA, in the implementation of fund raising for projects. This position is also responsible for providing support to the Executive Director to include maintaining Board of Trustees relations, coordinating schedules and logistics for Board of Trustee meetings, committee meetings, etc.
This is a full-time, year round, non-exempt position that offers a very generous benefit package.

Requirements
1. Strong computer skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel required; experience with mail merge & Raiser’s Edge/Altru preferred.
2. Ability to accurately process cash, checks, credit cards and other types of gifts to the museum in a timely manner.
3. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Attention to detail important.
4. Ability to manage time efficiently, work on multiple, simultaneous projects and deadlines and the ability to work under pressure.
5. Flexibility in working hours and ability to attend evening and weekend events.
6. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to compose correspondence.
7. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters. Position requires demonstrable poise, tact and diplomacy at all times.
