What Success Looks Like (Position Overview):
- Provide direct supervision, engagement and mentoring to juveniles within Woodfield Secure Detention Facility.
- Monitor movements and interactions of juveniles
- Uphold security procedures in order to ensure a safe and therapeutic culture.
Our Ideal Candidate (Qualifications):
- A Bachelors Degree OR
- A high School diploma OR
- GED equivalency is required and minimum of two years experience working with youth
- Detention or Security Experience Preferred
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Good written & verbal skills.
- Has demonstrated an understanding of The Children’s Village Values as presented in pre-employment training.
- Ability to put into practice all techniques Safe Crisis Management (as taught in pre-employment training) and demonstrated respect for client’s rights and safety.
- Ability to demonstrate counseling techniques
Compensation: Commensurate with years of experience. In addition, The Children’s Village offers a comprehensive benefits including medical insurance for employees who work 20 or more hours.
