Remote Internship Opportunities - Summer 2020

Up Cancer internships are remote, volunteer, and flexible internships that comply to IRS and employment laws and regulations. All internships are remote positions. College volunteer internship will develop their skills in teamwork and collaboration. Team meetings are held online on Monday night using zoom. These positions are great for students who need experience in their field of interest.  

Editorial and Public Relations Internship: As an intern, you will be writing and editing content for Up Cancer and Team Up Cancer. Articles will be used for websites, blogs, social media, news, and more.

Educational Events Coordinator Internships: : Under the general direction of Up Cancer, the Educational Events Coordinator Intern plans and implements special events and activities to educate the community about young adult cancer needs and early diagnoses. You will create educational programs and outreach activities in the community, events include the annual community meeting. The Community Events Coordinator is responsible for leading teams of volunteers to design and implement systems that ensure smooth and successful event operations. The position is a volunteer’s internship that you create your own flexible volunteer's schedule.

Graphic Design Internship: As a graphic design intern for Up Cancer and Team Up Cancer. You will work together with the national team to design and implement marketing campaigns to improve the Up Cancer and Team Up Cancer organization and branding. You will create designs for social media, our website, news media, and other avenues to increase awareness of the organization.

Health and Fitness: : Seeking an intern to help create a fitness and healthier eating plan for cancer survivors, friends and family. Up Cancer's goal is to teach skills to optimize health without using the gym. The right person for this position will be a self-starter as you will spend a large part of your time working on your own. We are about empowering people, inspiring them to become and stay committed to their fitness and weight loss goals through the community. From a broader perspective, we care about improving lives!

Human Resource internship: As a Human Resource Intern, you are the first contact with the Up Cancer and Team Up Cancer organizations. Interns will gain practical experience as they deliver assistance and support to the human resource department. They will learn skills in recruiting, hiring, developing training material, and train new interns.

Marketing, Branding, and Social Media Internship: As an intern for Up Cancer Marketing, Branding, and SEO Team, you will work together with the national team to develop and implement marketing campaigns to improve the Up Cancer and Team Up Cancer organization and brand through social media, our website, news media, and other avenues to increase awareness of the organization.

Merchandising and Fashion Design Internship: As an intern, you will work with a national team to create merchandise: t-shirts, coffee mugs, posters, headwear, and other items that bring brand awareness and support the cause of Up Cancer.

Legislative Liaison Internship: As an intern, you will be working with legislators and government agencies to encourage them to propose new laws to assist the needs of young adult cancer survivors. You will be working with Educational Events Coordinators Interns, Marketing and SEO, Editor and PR, and Merchandising Team to advise on new proposed legislation, and providing them the necessary information to educate and motivate the community to support the legislation.

Statistics Internship: As an intern in statistics you will assist Up Cancer and Team Up Cancer team to find statistics on different cancer needs You will assist the marketing and editorial team to come us with need content for the organization.
