Who we are
Every day, journalists at the New York Times report more than 200 stories from dozens of countries around the world on topics ranging from major international events to the best way to roast a chicken. Those stories are read, listened to and watched by millions of users across our web and mobile products.
Collaborating with stakeholders across the company, the Solutions & Innovations team provides support and service on a wide array of projects. We are motivated by a desire to see speed, accuracy, and innovation in our marketing programs, for a best-in-class experience. When confronted with “the way things are”, it is this team’s responsibility to ask and answer “is that the way they should be?”
Who should apply
We are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves on Day 1, and dig in to a project that will be developed and delivered over the course of their internship. There are a number of different areas that can be focused on, depending on the applicants interests. 
We are seeking candidates who:
  • Are rising juniors or seniors
  • Entrepreneurial, intrepid and highly motivated individuals
  • Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and SQL. It’s not so much the languages you know, as the languages you know well
  • Must have some prior exposure to and experience with enterprise level email marketing platforms 
  • Any experience with APIs, Free Marker, and Responsys is highly desirable 
  • Are articulate, flexible, and are capable of working in a fast-paced environment
