Brookside Museum [http://www.brooksidemuseum.org], home to the Saratoga County Historical Society, inspires community memory by telling the story of Saratoga County through interactive and engaging programs and exhibits. Educational programs for area schools and the public at large, a research library, and the museum’s gift shop are critical to the museum’s fulfillment of its mission.

Remote work. Brookside Museum and the Saratoga County Historical Society are launching several exciting new programs, which require cataloging artifacts (via email), posting on a website, managing social media, participating in Zoom meetings, and replying to guest communications. For instance, the museum is documenting and exhibiting the now-internationally famous #518RainbowHunt, which requires dealing with emails, Facebook, and websites. The student(s) will work directly with professional historians and curators. This is a terrific opportunity for hands-on public history experience, community service, and work in media / marketing / promotion.
