PAL: Remote Internship for Entrepreneurial Skidmore Student

Are you interested in the food and beverage industry? Are you curious about niche food brands, craft beverages, or health and nutrition food products designed for specific diets and lifestyles?

The Long Island Food Council was created to bring people together, to create collaboration among food, beverage and service professionals in the region. Their members are advocates for the Long Island Food and Beverage industry, and rely on the council as an information hub and a catalyst for networking. The council provides meaningful benefits and resources food and beverage professionals need to grow and run a profitable business.

Working with Skidmore parent and alumnus Michael Tucker '84, President of the council, a Skidmore intern can work on projects related to the following during Summer 2020:

  • Marketing, Social Media, and SEO
  • Projects to assist in building connectivity and collaboration between council members
  • Website content and blogging, micro-influencers
  • Creative opportunities that focus on subject matters such as nutrition, craft beverages, and start-up food companies, designed to build economic opportunities for the council's membership

Michael Tucker is committed to working with one or more Skidmore students to build internship opportunities that pertains to the candidate's career interests.

This internship is remote. Once social distancing precautions are lifted, interns could have opportunity to meet with Michael on a regular basis and attend council meetings.
