PAL: Math Teacher

Math Teacher

Millbrook School seeks a full-time experienced mathematics teacher in Millbrook School, to join a collaborative department in our LEEDS-gold certified Frederick C. Hamilton Math and Science Center.
While teaching focus will likely be geometry through pre-calculus, knowledge through BC Calculus will be helpful. A creative and collaborative approach to teaching and a growth mindset are essential. Outside the classroom, coaching needs include girls’ volleyball, track and field, cross country, and boys’ lacrosse. College-level athletic experience is very helpful. Residential life experience with adolescents is a major asset.

Millbrook is a boarding school; coaching, residential life duty, and living in the community are essential parts of our work with adolescents. Energy for adolescents, adaptability, humor, and integrity are the hallmarks of Millbrook's faculty. Housing is provided; salary is competitive.

Millbrook School is eager to consider applications from groups traditionally underrepresented in independent school communities As an equal opportunity employer, Millbrook School does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, citizenship status, sex, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. Moreover, Millbrook School recognizes the value of a diverse faculty and staff, and actively seeks candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Please send a statement of interest, resume, and application to Katherine Havard, dean of faculty, and Martha Clizbe, math department chair, at facultyjobs@millbrook.org.
