Community Engagement Intern

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INTERN
Summer 2020, Global Nomads Group 

Global Nomads Group’s community engagement programs create a virtual community where youth age 16-19 from around the world come together in small groups for virtual face-to-face conversations about their daily lives, interests, identities, cultures, perspectives, and what it means to be part of our ever-changing world. Whether youth join to build self-confidence and leadership skills, to practice new languages, to prepare for their futures, or to form friendships, GNG’s community engagement programs help them learn about themselves and embrace our world in a new way. Global Nomads Group is seeking Community Engagement Interns to join us in developing and supporting our global programs. 

Who you are: You are interested in connecting with other people to improve our world and leave your mark. You are passionate about social media and have more ideas than you have time to execute. You are tapped into the pulse, passions, and dreams of GenZ. You are comfortable using various design applications and learning new tech and design tools. You find joy in creating content and taking initiative to explore new creative ideas. You love to keep up with global news, pop culture, and other relevant happenings. You constantly innovate, challenge yourself, and you thrive in a creative space. You have strong writing, organizational, and communication skills that will support you in taking tasks and projects from start to finish. You can accept constructive feedback and apply it to your work. You have a strong work ethic and can-do attitude no matter the size of the project or request. 

Examples of tasks: 
• Design online engagement opportunities for users 
• Maintain social media editorial calendar 
• Research current trends for GenZ and monitor user community engagement 
• Design content for social media and/or email marketing campaigns

Compensation: Our internships are unpaid. We will gladly support your efforts to secure course credit or outside funding. 
Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks, June through August. 
Location: This position is based remotely. 
Application Deadline: The application deadline is March 31, 2020. However, we will review applications on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
