Community-Based Health Intervention Lab

A part-time Research Assistant (~8-10 hours/week) is needed for the Community-Based Intervention Research lab at Tufts University. Research in the lab involves the development, implementation, and evaluation of community-based interventions to promote cancer prevention and control in underserved populations. Research is conducted in a variety of settings including communities, work sites, low-income housing, community-health centers and media institutions among others.
 
The Research Assistant will carry out work out under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Allen at the Department of Community Health at Tufts University. Responsibilities include quantitative and qualitative data analysis, assisting with preparation of manuscripts and grant applications, including the literature reviews, preparation of tables and figures, and preparation of bibliographies.
 
The ideal candidate would be able to make a commitment to working in the lab for at least one year. All work can be done remotely during the spring semester.
 
Qualifications:
·        Proficiency with reference management system (e.g., EndNote, RefWorks, Zotero) required
·        Experience with using qualitative (e.g., N’Vivo) OR quantitative analysis software is strongly preferred (e.g., STATA)
·        Experience using to Recap data management system preferred
·        Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and be flexible in day-to-day work tasks
·        Must have taken CH30 (Research Methods) or equivalent
