NYC-SRD- Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative is the first point of contact between our prospective customers and Bitly. You will be responsible for both generating and qualifying new leads. 

ABOUT YOU
You're curious and detail-oriented. As part of the job, you will be uncovering business needs from prospective clients and presenting them with relevant solutions that Bitly offers. You must have both excellent written and verbal skills. You are comfortable speaking with executives from Fortune 1000 companies and businesses around the world. 

This Sales Development role owns a process that is crucial to Bitly’s business and delivers a seamless bridge between our prospects and our sales team.


Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying inbound leads from prospective clients around the Globe
  • Effectively conveying the value of Bitly’s Enterprise program
  • Asking open-ended questions to prospects that uncover business needs
  • Finding relevant solutions that benefit prospective clients needs
  • Ensuring an excellent customer journey for our prospective customers, from inquiring to meeting with an Account Executive
  • Working within Salesforce and maintaining a healthy pipeline


Must Haves:

  • 1 - 2 years experience in a customer-facing role, ideally new client development, customer acquisition, or customer conversion
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable customer relationship management tools
  • Experience in a team environment that required email and phone outreach that analyzed performance by measured results
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Highly motivated and ambitious
  • Strong desire to work in sales
