NYC -SRD-Assistant Brand Strategist

Job Summary
The role of the Brand Assistant is to support the Brand Team, maintaining a variety of day-to-day projects. This includes gaining an understanding of the media industry and our agency’s client roster, while learning the over-arching plan development process and how the Brand Team interacts with clients, media partners, and activation teams. Under leadership of the Brand Strategist, Assistant Brand Strategist will begin to understand client’s business and how to think strategically.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities

·        Assist with day-to-day account maintenance tasks inclusive of billing, trafficking requests, talent logs and creative material distribution
·        Support Brand Team members with overall plan development, implementation and maintenance
·        Analyze competitive research to inform strategic planning and implementation
·        Contribute creative media ideas in brainstorming sessions during development process
·        Attend and participate in client and internal meetings, where applicable
·        Distribute meeting recap notes to clients and internal team members, summarizing all deliverables and next steps
·        Assist Brand Strategist in management of media budget, flowchart and client approvals
·        Learn about the various departments at HMI and each work together
·        Participate in HMI’s Media 101 Training program as well as other syndicated and proprietary training sessions

Knowledge and Skills Required
·        Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related experience
·        Internship experience in marketing or media is preferred
·        Strong problem-solving mentality, work ethic, and verbal and written communication skills
·        Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable with excellent organization skills and attention to detail
·        Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
·        Demonstrated interest in the media industry with a desire to learn more
·        Basic understanding of number relationships, media math, and terminology
