In this position ...
The Planning Associate is responsible for the maintenance of all of media campaigns across multiple
channels (i.e. TV, Print, Radio, OOH, and Digital). Because this is an entry level role, the Associate position represents the beginning of a media career and is highly supervised by the Sr. Associate and Managers on the team. This position is critical in the day-to-day tactical management of the media plans requires someone that works extremely well in a fast paced and detail-oriented environment. The Planning Associate will get exposure to all relevant media disciplines and be able to put together a media strategy that is best for the client’s needs.

Job Responsibilities:
•Partnering with the Senior Associate in gathering necessary data for plan development
•Run marketing & media reports and analyze data, gather costs, create and maintain flowcharts
•Monitor and compile competitive advertising and spending data
•Assist in the preparation and rationale of media recommendations and annual plan presentations
•Assisting the Senior Associate to ensure overall quality and integrity of plans, including:
  • Monitor and maintain budgets, budget reports and all other stewardship reports
  • Generate paperwork necessary for media authorizations
  • Resolve billing discrepancies with relevant buying teams
  • Analyze and plan performance where necessary to ensure success
  • Maintain media partner information files
Partnering with the Senior Associate to establish priorities and manage workload
•Providing timely and accurate delivery of all work
•Assisting in the development of insightful media points-of-view
•Successfully completing required training program(s)
•Demonstrating a desire to create improvement and better outcomes through innovation /
approaching things in new ways
•Update client media activity flowcharts
•Assist with tracking media expenditures to ensure agency and client budget compliance
•Thinking of new solutions to your work / client challenges

Our Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising or marketing
•Although no media planning or buying experience is required an internship with an
advertising/media agency is strongly preferred
•Comfortable working with budgets, numbers and all relevant Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word,
Excel.)
