Position Description

WEIL offers entry-level paralegal positions primarily in the Litigation, Corporate, and Restructuring
practice groups. Paralegals work alongside our attorneys and play a critical role in all phases of
litigation or business transactions. Routine tasks include coordinating complex document productions;
preparing, organizing, proofing and tracking documents; conducting and summarizing factual research.

WEIL has a supportive collegial environment. The Paralegal compensation package includes salary plus
overtime and a year-end merit bonus based on performance. Paralegals are eligible to participate in the
Firm's medical and dental plans and 401 K starting on the first day of employment. A two-year commitment to WEIL is required.

Training is conducted by Department Managers, Attorneys and Senior Paralegals. Outside training
resources include Continuing Legal Education seminars offered by the Association of the Bar of
New York City and the American Bar Association, Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw. In addition to orientation
and training, paralegals are assigned a Mentor to help them become acclimated to the firm.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates are graduates with demonstrated academic achievement, prior work experience
and strong interpersonal skills. Other qualifications that foster a successful career at WEIL are
strong work ethic, interest and curiosity, and a direct and confident communication style. Candidates
should also possess sound organizational proficiency and excellent oral and written communication
skills. Successful individuals will be self-starters, confident and highly motivated to work long hours; and
be able to work well independently and as a part of a team.
