Information Technology Internship Fall 2019
This internship reports to the IT Support Specialist. The department is responsible for overseeing most all Network & Systems, including End User Support for Proctors, theREP and UPH. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provisioning devices for employee use, making and deploying Ethernet cables, maintaining departmental & end-user documentation, maintaining ticket scanners and monitoring ticket scanning during matinee and evening performances, collecting and compiling data through the auditing of employees and assisting with support help tickets. This position is available in the Spring or Summer. Experience with Apple computers and Microsoft Office are required. Ideal candidates will need to be detail-oriented, have basic understanding of computer systems and an eagerness to learn. A positive attitude and an ability to work with others is also a must.

Internships are designed for undergraduate or graduate students to have an in-depth experience of working in a not-for-profit theatre company. Training can be supplemented with discussions and workshops with directors, designers and senior staff who provide insight into the overall management of the company. Interns’ relationships with their supervisor ensure that they are not only gaining valuable skills but also receiving support and feedback. Internships are part-time Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends (anywhere from 8-20 hours/week). They take place year-round during the Spring, Summer or Fall semesters. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
