Film and Media Production Internship Fall 2019

This internship reports to the Open Stage Media Production Manager. Proctors was designated as manager and operator of public, educational and government access cable television by the City of Schenectady in December 2010 and spurred the creation of a new broadcast entity, Open Stage Media at Proctors (OSM). Responsibilities can include programming (includes in-putting shows into server and scheduling), video editing, Masterminds preparation, social media engagement and record keeping. This position is available in the Fall, Spring or Summer. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office are required. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, have good interpersonal demeanor and ability to self-start projects.

Internships are designed for undergraduate or graduate students to have an in-depth experience of working in a not-for-profit theatre company. Training can be supplemented with discussions and workshops with directors, designers and senior staff who provide insight into the overall management of the company. Interns’ relationships with their supervisor ensure that they are not only gaining valuable skills but also receiving support and feedback. Internships are part-time Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends (anywhere from 8-20 hours/week). They take place year-round during the Spring, Summer or Fall semesters. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
