Photography Intern Summer 2019
Description:
Duties and responsibilities will include the photography and post-production editing of all festival activities and events. The Intern will gain valuable experience photographing in a variety of venues ranging from intimate salon settings, churches, and auditoriums, to traditional concert halls and outdoor settings.
Compensation:
$250 stipend + housing will be provided with a host family or local hotel free of charge. Some meals, usually lunch are provided.
Benefits:
The Festival will be happy to provide recommendations and references for employment, advanced training and/or scholarships following successful completion of the Internship. College credit is also available for those needing to complete an internship as part of their degree requirements. Photographs are distributed to all musicians via social media, will be used on the festival website, Festival films, and in future Festival marketing – full recognition will be given to the Intern wherever applicable. The Intern will retain the rights to all photographs.
Requirements:
The Intern will be required to bring his/her own reliable and high quality equipment. Bachelor’s degree or
equivalent, either completed or in progress with a focus in photography/photojournalism. Experience in nonprofit and/or classical music organizations is helpful, but not required. A love of classical music and an entrepreneurial attitude are advantages, as are self-motivation and the ability to work independently on very productive days. Interns are required to have a reliable vehicle while in Lake George.
